Manage people not ciphers

The world needs more managers who look after the people and grow the business together with them and fewer managers who look only at the ciphers.

Looking and the ciphers won't solve the motivational problems that your team has. Looking at the people, and treating them as unique individuals not as statistics will solve many of your team problems instead.
